bagels
sliced in half horizontally

light cream cheese

ounces
smoked salmon
Garnish options

scallions
trimmed and tough leaves removed; thinly sliced

red onion
finely minced

capers
Instructions
Spread a uniform layer of cream cheese on bagel. Top with thin slices of smoked salmon. Sprinkle with any of the garnishes or pass separately.
Notes
Pumpernickel bread also works well.
