This is basically a ganache flavored with some brandy. Perfect served with Roasted Pear Pound Cake; fruits like strawberries, raspberries, pears, and oranges; over ice cream and wherever your imagination takes you.
Servings: 2 cups
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate or 1 cup if using chocolate chips, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over barely simmering water. Whisk in cream and brandy. If making in advance, rewarm before serving as a sauce.
Stores well in the refrigerator. Rewarm to use.
