Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Open Face Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 bagels sliced in half horizontally
  • 4 ounces light cream cheese
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon

Garnish options

  • 2 scallions trimmed and tough leaves removed; thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons capers

Instructions

  • Spread a uniform layer of cream cheese on bagel. Top with thin slices of smoked salmon. Sprinkle with any of the garnishes or pass separately.

Notes

Pumpernickel bread also works well.
