Salmon - Broiled

An easy method for preparing salmon. Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or with salad greens and vinaigrette.

Ingredients

  • salmon fillet 6 ounces per person (about 1 inch thick)
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat broiler. Line rimmed baking pan with foil for easy cleanup.
  • Place salmon, skin side down on pan. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with pepper and salt, if desired.
  • Place pan in oven. Cook approximately 10 minutes for one inch of thickness, until fish is opaque but not dry and flakes easily when tested with a fork.
